In the RGV there are several magazines that cover the area. They’re usually located in the entrances of local restaurants and clothing boutiques. I usually pick up one of these mags up because they interest me, and i want to know how they showcase the Valley.
However, there was really one magazine that was consistent with the culture and the youth of the Valley…

Last Month's Issue / Awesome, Awesome Cover!
Pulp & Soda really caught my attention because they kept up with what all these magazines are supposed to be about… the Rio Grande Valley. To start things off, the cover of the magazine showcases a popular figure and recognizable place of McAllen. While, other magazines try and catch our attention with covers really having nothing to do with the Valley, P&S went out and captured an image almost all of us are familiar with.
I absolutely loved that man. I related to them automatically because they were keeping things real, keeping things relevant to what an RGV publication is supposed to be.
Going along with the culture, the material inside is up do date. The art, the music, and the fashion presented in the pages were all dope. I mean, a lot of the material was stuff I had seen before, and had even blogged about in this blog. Compared to other publications, Pulp & Soda just seemed so fresh and modern.
Telling by the magazine, the people at Pulp & Soda are doing their research and are into what the new generation of the Valley are into. Keep doing what you all are doing P&S Staff, I’m loving it.
EVERYONE PICK UP THIS MONTHS ISSUE!!

Probably my favorite article from last month. Banksy is just too cool.
